I think your callous carefree attitude to someones untimely death is extremely upsetting. I don't follow AFL either, but this is a very tragic occurrence. A whole family has been destroyed. As Digger has said, sometimes it is best if you just keep quiet.

Very sad indeed. To me, what makes this worse is that it was his own son.
Heard last night that he was on ice.

The ethics that this man had also makes it a huge loss to the general community.

Hope it's not a self defensive attack to an abusive father. Just saying, as hero worship might not look so good. Seems to me AFL in general has some extreme dysfunction inside and outside the game. All that said, sad that things come to this, regardless of whoever brought it about.

I was an Ambo for a few years and saw this type of thing all the time,it's sad,it's sad that a normal everyday house wife bringing up her kids has to suffer this with no one giving a damn yet a Celebrity hero footballer has it happen and it's in the news all over the country. Pat

I did wonder exactly the same thing but saw that if I mentioned it, I'd be blasted.

We have seen cases of abused women finally taking extreme action and murdering their long-abusing husbands/partners and even children murdering their fathers because they can no longer accept their father abusing their mother.

This is all to common these days, sad really, I feel for everyone involved, regardless of the circunstances.

We are never going to know why it came to this, until the Mother or daughter desides to speak about it.

My condolences go to the family and friends.

I really think this requires a deep breath , & a step back. Supposition , and hearsay, seems to be the foundation of most threads of this kind. The Son has been admitted to a mental health facility. I don't know what that will mean to those who come to the fore in these cases, to either big note themselves, or to drag down the character of those involved. What's it called? Big poppy syndrome?
