Slightly larger than 200 mm but an excellent light. They will rival Fyrlyts, I have both. The depth will have to be checked.
Although there are a few threads out there that cover driving lights, most answers seem to involve sums up to around $1000 a pair, which for this next excersize is not going to fly. While I have a set of Fyrlyt Nemesys on my shopping list for the Rangie, I need some ideas of something a little less stressful on the budget.
These will be for SWMBO X Trail. Maximum size 200mm as nothing bigger will fit the nudge bar. She does a fair bit of night driving on Friday nights down to her parents place on back country roads. Budget is around the $500 for the pair max (ideally cheaper) and they can be halogen, HID or LED as long as they are good, not all show and no go. No light bar suggestions please as they look poxy on the X Trails and a good set of driving lights on the factory nudge bar don't look half bad.
So, who's running what that fits this category and how do you like them. Been looking at the IPF900XS but I don't need to spend that money if there's something around that is cheaper and still has some punch and quality about them.
So, the can of worms is now officially open - let me have it...![]()

If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
I'll ask on the x-trail forum.

eBay has a 'deals' section which is like a group buy (buy in, get the goods once MOQ is reached). They usually have a range of reasonably priced light bars on there... like $65 shipped cheap for a 120W 24" job.
Quality - Unknown.
Worth a shot - Possibly.

The answer used to be 5" 100 watt sealed beams ( aircraft landing lights) but finding the housings is a bit difficult these days. I have run these on many work vehicles over the years to get a good light that didnt cost too much if I broke a lens.
