You don't need to "do" Facebook, it's an open page , just search "save our steel port Kembla "in GOOGLE and you can open it in explorer , chrome, etc and go from there.;)

Yes, so? Should I have to use a website I don't want to just to view something like that? In the same way as vegitarians don't eat meat for a reason that makes sense to them, I don't go to the websites of certain companies - Facebook is one of those - I don't agree with thier ethics, so I don't take my buisness there - free or otherwise.

All *Whyalla* workers, Staff, Managers are getting a mandated 17% pay cut to be held for 2 years at this stage.
Projected turn over for FY17 expected to be $30Mil shy for the year...
Interestingly the Eastern Seaboard facilities are profitable immediately.
When your transfer cost to eastern mills is below cost from Whyalla it's very easy to see how they are making this plant look poor and the East look great..
Was 2 years ago the transfer cost was reduced to prop the Eastern Steel Mills up whilst Whyalla Steel shortfall was supported by Mining..
Meanwhile 20 000 tonnes of structural steelwork for the Darling Harbour refurb is going to Korea.
Another example of short term thinking v long term planning.
All that could have been sourced locally and every cent used in our economy has instead been posted overseas with zero local benefits beyond saving the govt of the day 20c that will cause it to lose $2 tomorrow through less local businesses and individuals spending.
