I agree that contacting TIO is the only way.
TPG were offering fibre long before NBN was thought of.

not telstra. so its up to the service provider to fix.

Telstra owns the exchange. They will not let any competitor touch their equipment.
The issue is between the customer and their retailer. Then there is another issue between the retailer and Telstra.
That is what was always going to happen when the Telstra owned infrastructure was opened up to competition.
The only way the customer will get a result is through the ombudsman.
Or switch to Telstra, the owner of the infrastructure.

    i well aware of this.

its like buying a new car and having the alternator go kaput.
you take the car back to the car manufacturer, not the alternator manufacturer.

i had a lot of problems with my adsl at home, dropping out hot modem, very slow speeds.

swamped modem etc etc, spent hours on the phone with iinet/adam.

finally thay tell me that to send a guy out to look may cost me 120 bucks.

now as is my habbit i prep pay a lot of bills, like internet phone etc usually for a year then i can forget about it.

so i am in credit with iinet but they still wanted my visa card number etc etc.

I got some advice from a couple of IT guys. both stated the same. IINET is useless in dealing with Telsra, something about bad relationship and each blaming each other. go with TPG ot telsra them selfs
