Access to Bendethera is currently not possible from the Moruya side.
Trailers are no longer permitted on the other two access tracks, from the Araluen Rd and from the Canberra side.
So at the moment, you can't go in at all with a trailer.
Access from Moruya should be possible at the end of October.

1998 300 Tdi Defender Trayback 2006 - often fitted with a Trayon slide-on camper.
Had a chat to the area manager (NPWS) about allowing 4WD's towing Camper Trailers (CT) into Deau/Bendethra from other roads, say Deep Creek, Mericumbene, Bendethra or even Dampier Mt trails to real 4WD's, i.e. vehicles equipped with F&R lockers.
As the so fitted vehicles are in fact true 4WD's it is the so called SUV's and unlocked axle other vehicles dragging mega size home units that are causing the damage.
Not long back, during Winter I was heading up Dampier Mt. Fire Trail, which is closed to Trailers when I found my way almost blocked by a Toyota LC or whatever it was pulling a bogie axle 20' off road caravan stuck, jacknifed on the first hairpin on the way up.
I managed to get around him on the inside and suggested he back up a touch to get unjacknifed enough to be able to unhook the van. Once we got him unhooked I winched the van around into a straight line. I hooked the van up and towed it up to Minuma Range FT, where the Toyota took over again.
Even with my lifted Disco the van's drawbar and rear ripped into the tops of the Eco drains, I can see why NPWS has chucked a fizzy and excluded everybody from pulling a trailer because of the incompetents with unsuitable vehicles.
But why should I have to pay because of these dicks, BTW this bloke that I helped drove off and never even said thanks, it won't happen again.
I suggested that 4WD's with lockers and setup for heavy off road work should be issued with a permit to tow trailers in Duea Nat. park, to get a permit you could front up at your nearest NPWS office and present your vehicle, if it was suitable they could attach a sticker or give you a note for say a fee of $20/year, seems like it is not going to happen, but maybe if a few got in their ears it could change their minds, Regards Frank.
