SA Police announce arrest of hoverboard-riding gang - 9news.com.au

    SA Police News
    Yesterday ?

Great Scott! Police have arrested four youths involved in a hoverboard chase and altercation at the Courthouse Mall.

The gang, conspicuously dressed in upcycled Tupperware containers, wrist-guards and breast-plates were seen chasing a teenage male from Caf? 80's adjacent the Holomax Theatre on Main Street.

A short hoverboard pursuit ensued. The chase came to an abrupt end when the youths crashed through the windows of the historic Courthouse.

The youths have been charged with crimes against fashion.

Hoverboarders are reminded that drifting or 'skiing? behind grounded or flying vehicles is both highly dangerous and not advised.

(the obvious question associated with the photo on the SAPOL page is ...why does it carry two spare tyres when it has no tyres ? )

    Mount Isa Hoverboard Unit investigate
    Sergeant Cath Purcell on Oct 21, 2015 @ 8:32am
This morning police officers from the Mount Isa Hoverboard Unit were called to attend a traffic crash on Rodeo Drive.

A silver sedan had crashed into a power pole near the cinema.

When questioned what speed he was doing, the driver stated that he was doing 88 miles per hour.

A 17-year-old man was charged and was in possession of a licence which expired over 30 years ago.

Investigations into the vehicle and what a flux capacitor is, are ongoing.

The Mount Isa Cinema received a loss of power to the building.

Owner Jodi Saunders said the driver got out of the car and asked for a Pepsi.

?He also wanted to know when we would be playing Jaws 19,? Jodi Saunders said.

The damage to the power pole caused a power outage to the area.

Mount Isa Mayor Tony McGrady advised that the power outage caused damage to the town clock, which has stopped working.

?We have repairs underway to save the clock tower,? Mayor McGrady said.

We may not have hoverboards as in Back To The Future, but we have invented motorcycle surfing, which I bet Marty McFly would think is pretty cool:
