Amazing at the post office, people still coming in and wanting stuff sent to the rellies in the UK. I figure a relly has sent them something and they feel guilty they didn't send one back so in a last ditch attempt ( like every year) they want to get it there by Christmas. Then they find out that sea cheap mail is now out of the question and complain how much it is to send via airmail.

They don't call it the silly season for no reason !

I'm with Mario ... The arrogance and bad attitude abound during the festive season lead up. I've been doing this job for 29yrs and every year it's the same old same old ...

Hello, can I help you ? Yes, I'm a halfwitt customer. I have a problem and I'm looking for someone to hand it on to ... and I need someone to accomplish this impossible task before Christmas for me because it's unlikely it can be achieved, and when it doesn't happen, I need to have someone I can blame, so I don't get egg on my face, because I'm more important than all your other clientele, and I'm not able to get my act together to get stuff done with a dead line ....

Quite often we achieve the impossible because we know how to make **** happen. A little gratitude and a thank you would be nice sometimes!

The instant gratification clan need a good kick in the pants ! IF after pulling a rare breed of rabbit out of an unobtainable hat for you, in record time, you want to complain about the price .... I AM going to charge you the premium price you ungrateful bastard !!! If your nice and appreciative, and show a bit of empathy for me and my staff who are being stretched beyond what most people would consider reasonable, I'm going to charge you a normal price and wish you a merry christmas.

I could go on .... but I won't ! :p

C'mon Kev, I used to be in retail and it never happened to me!!!:whistling:

All my friends work in hospitality or retail.
Meanwhile I just dig holes in the ground, silly season doesn't bother me :p
To be honest, I'd probably be pretty cheesed off if I knew I was going to be locked in a house with bad Christmas carols and Michael Buble playing, while having to right off seething hordes of little snottling fondlers and filthy plebs.

And it all happens during this period, BUT i suspect the government is about to move Christmas forward up to one month in some states! Except Queensland of course...


The government has already mentioned "Christmas Savings" a few times... i assume thats like Daylight savings?

I am so glad that I don't have to work in customer service.
Once I was pressed into serving in a bar on a cruise boat. Before the bar was opened one of the staff asked me what I would give a customer if asked for a cocktail. I answered. "They would be lucky to get the steam off my ****.". I was sent to the cellar, where I was happy.

the driving is terrible every day with constant near misses and dangerous manoeuvres, it's hard to tell if any day is worse than others.
