    Ian, my father was the best horseman I ever saw. He learned his trade in the channel country, when he left home , aged 15, from aboriginal stockmen. They drove cattle from the channel country to the rail heads, in southern Qld, & northern NSW. I broke his heart when I ran away to sea at age 15. I couldn't see a future in the land.
