    i hope everyone is ok.

KURNELL - Significant damage in the area.
Here is what we know so far:
? Captain Cook Drive at Elouera Road is closed in both directions following a severe storm. Emergency services are only being let through at this stage. Motorists are being advised to avoid the area.
? A tornado is likely to have swept through the area with a 213km/h gust recorded.
? A number of residents, particularly around Bridges Street have been evacuated after roofs were ripped from homes.
? Reports suggest one home has collapsed with no persons trapped.
? Emergency services are on-scene of the Sydney Desalination Plant on Sir Joseph Banks Drive, Kurnell after reports of a fire but has now been confirmed as no fire. Three patients are being treated by Ambulance NSW. One with a head injury, another with injuries to his arm and a third in shock.
? Kurnell Community Sport and Recreation Club is being evacuated following reports of an incident at the nearby Desalination Plant. Fire and Rescue NSW HAZMAT crews are enroute.
? Sydney Desalination Plant in Kurnell is being evacuated. Significant flooded inside a number of buildings. Structural integrity cannot be confirmed. Windows and panelling around the building has been damaged.
? A truck has been tipped onto it's side (photo in comment) with roof sheeting from over 30 industrial units having been ripped off.

    Warm and dry here!

Outside the window on the other hand is a different matter the hail has just stopped. Sounded like lightening hit the top of the Parkes Block, but the D4 is in the B2 car park so safe and sound.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Some PABX lines are out and so is half of the paging system. So the lightening strike a likely cause.

Just rang a cousin in Cronulla - he says it was pretty rough there, but he has no damage.

Looking at the radar, we will be copping it in a few minutes!

Thankfully we've moved a lot of our gear out of Caltex over to Shell, so only a few work cars got destroyed (windows all smashed out and badly hail damaged), supervisors car got destroyed too, damage will be assessed with all the gear tomorrow as all the guys got evac'd out... not sure if we can even get back in there yet!

I was sitting in the lunch room at Clyde (Shell) though, so the Discovery is fine (thank ****!)
