    Bowled over by kindness

Just found a Christmas card in the post box with a $25 gift card attached by a neighbour with apologies for her rubbish blowing on to our property a few times over the years. No garbage collection here and most people just throw it in the trailer until it starts fermenting and then its off to the tip. We cop the prevailing wind up through the valley and if nothings tied down it ends up on our place. Mostly rubbish which I bin but sometimes not so and I've taken a few things back , a greenhouse! once but more often smaller things like pots , chairs, tables , Trampoline etc . We're only on nodding terms so I'm really very surprised by it. What a lovely gesture.
    cheers,
    D

I just got off the phone from my brother in Mackay. He'd fuelled up the vehicle & got some ice, putting his wallet on the rear bumper of the 4bee. Got home & was loading the kiddies etc to head to Rocky when he got a call from the local constabulary, informing him that they were in possession of aforementioned Wally Wallet.
It turns out he'd left it on the back & driven off. It had fallen off a few k's down the road whereupon this lady found it & handed it in, all intact with $50 & a couple of hundred $$$ worth of gift vouchers.
Flowers & a scratchie or two will be forthcoming for the lady,
Kind of makes you realise that not all people are arseholes, hey?
