A bit harsh I think , but everybody is entitled to their opinion. Wasn't he part of Live Aid and didn't they raise a fair lump of cash? I think that could be counted at least as "one benefit to humanity".

Wot Rot!
What one benefit has Ken Morehouse ever contributed to humanity?
David Bowie's songs are a part of the soundtrack of my life and for that he has been a benefit to me and millions of others.
Starman is currently an earworm in my head. (No you don't need to take it out, I'm happy hearing it over and over, far more entertaining than the moronic conversation you find on commercial radio.)
Well said Lotz-A-Landies.
David Bowie was a hefty part of the sound track to my life as well. I heard that one of the bands booked to launch his latest album is the "Mountain Goats " another one of my favourites.
Cheers Billy.
He bought a lot of pleasure to a lot of people for a long time.
That is a lot more than most people do with their lives.
I will miss the Strange, Starman.

I think I will drop into carinda for a quiet beer when passing, for a reflection
Makes 1 think how old 1 is getting! when the people of your youth starts passing over. Whist I did not endorse all his music or thoughts there were more than enough to like and listen. We remember you, Starman.

My music hero has journeyed on!
Totally gutted. As for that article, don't even get me started....
Responses to the Morehouse comments published today include :
My word, Mr Morehouse takes a grimly Puritan view of David Bowie's contribution to the world. Can I respectfully suggest that he views the video of the organist of St Albans cathedral playing Life on Mars. He may then see how the secular and spiritual worlds can meld to powerful, moving effect.
