Firstly, nothing justifies the behavior but as usual, we are only seeing one side of the story. He may well have ****ed off (for what ever reason) and was trying to backup alongside the cyclist to voice an opinion. Some people just cannot reverse to save themselves. Brake lights did come on, so the driver did not actually come in contact with anyone.

All very hypothetical until both side are known.

i also find it odd that only the rear camera footage was given. most people have a front camera only and people witth rear camera have a front one too (or a helmet cam)

NOTHING justifies a driver of a motor vehicle deliberately attempting to run down a cyclist. FULL STOP.

    Of course it doesn't.

I hope the reason people are interested in the previous thirty seconds is not because they are looking for something that justifies the action. I hope it is merely curiosity to discover what provoked the action.

Wondering what provoked the action need not equate to looking to justify the action.

I believe the driver was an idiot, and he deserves to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

I would expect that most people assume the cyclist did something to provoke the driver's action.

As I said, that does not mean that they think the cyclist did something to justify the action.

Those two things are not the same.
