They are indeed normal steel. Not stainless. Still not found mine, but to be honest, I didn't look too hard!... I have both.. The one pictured here is a plough disk I made several years ago. This has done a lot and is still the firm favourite with me and Wifetec, and will have a place in the outdoor cooking locker on the truck. That said, the smaller lighter fold up Biji Barbi is just that... Small, light, compact, comes in its own bag and works on the gas or open fire. If you have the space to carry it in your Fourby, time and skills etc, then find a plough disk, weld a piece of 6mm flat into the hole, polish it up, use reo bar for making the handles, and never use it without welding gloves. Cooking on something you've made is awesome. If space is tight, then buy the well built compact Biji. Either way you won't be disappointed!
Fantastic bit of kit that fold up has it's own canvas bag and lays flat to fit into nooks and crannies in the Landy.
When you put the wingnut in the centre hole you can use it to shallow fry fish, chips, fritters and whatever.

Before I get comments about cans in the fire, we do this to get the muck out before crushing them to put in the carry along rubbish bag.
Had ours for over 20 years, easy to pack, easy to use, rarely gets more than a wipe over for cleaning, regularly used instead of a frypan etc over fire/coals
This thread has convinced me to grab that plough disc i saw at dads near the scrap steel collection tomorrow ;)

So I ordered the medium sized biji. Got in contact with Tony upton, who manufactures them and was advised that for the dual fuel burner like I have, there is an option where you can get the medium sized plate with longer legs.
Also got the bag to carry it.
Should ship later this week, so hopefully I get it in time for melrose. Otherwise I'll be using the black iron pan
