I always like going in for a look around.......generally don't buy anything. Kinda make a day out of it, nice breakfast on the way and dinner after
Just did it.
I'm not sure it's the best way to seek advice.
Every rep on every stand was ready to deliver their success story or why their product is best.
After 5hrs with my head almost caved I and my son left.
The best person I spoke with was the guy who owns Bullit Performance .....we were able to just chat about his past , his current projects and his future projects in an unassuming and friendly manner.
btw....he has some real supercharger successes at realistic prices...you can supercharge your diesel too.
ps....I forgot to mention...."we can do a super show deal for you"
I still enjoyed myself though.
Something I learned.....every other tyre manufacturer's tyres last longer , grip better on dry roads , grip better on wet roads , drive better through sand , drive better in mud and are quieter than the last manufacturer I spoke with.

Welcome to the world of sales mate.
It's easy to see who is good or bad at it.
The bad just rattle off their script with their headset and PA system on, like some kind of danoz direct advert.
The good ones 'sell the sizzle not the steak'. Add value to the customer so they can achieve the ebst price for their product. Some tightarses just want the steak knives plus the bonus widget and get the whole lot ofr as cheap as possible...
Difficulty is that in high customer volume situations like that, the ability to add value on an individual customer basis is impractical. The whole 'hows the family, what do you drive, driven any good tracks recently, *3 hours later* Hey, how about buying my junk?' line of conversation is only going to net 3 sales all weekend.
This is why they usually cast their net wide with a deomnstration, people gather, the uninterested tyre kickers leave, the interested ones ask any questions after, and people throw money around at the end and walk off with product.
