OK busted. The corrosion is red not white. :p
There's already been 20 cars burnt in my area this year. I usually pass at least 2 different burnt out cars a month if I drive down the fire trails to work (whihc I do most days)
Quite a lot are modern cars with imobilisers. If they are being joy ridden, how are the kids getting them started without the keys ?

Good point shane.
In most cases that is probably exactly what they do - or simply take cars whose drivers leave the keys in them. (It does happen - sometimes even by accident)

I went with some Bushfire Brigade people up and down firetrails in the Blue Mountains some of which were that rough and washed out you had to use lockers and/or get winched.
Down the back of nowhere down a very steep track was a late model Camry which had all the sills wrecked, dented and bent front and rear ends and it was partially burnt out.
The guys who got it to there should get a job teaching extreme driving.
There is a pretty big bushfire over Dwellingup way.It started at 3am mon morn. The police say the cause was a torched stolen car.Great stuff during 40degC+ days.
