macca tea, a shudder just ran through my body, what a concept, they probably don't even warm the pot

Many years ago, I spent a month in the USA, finally need up on Ba in Business Class, the tea was divine. Civilisation at last. The Dorchester made nice tea too

I don't understand how even Lipton* branded tea in the USA is appalling when considered to Lipton branded tea in Australia.

    * I don't drink Lipton in Australia unless its a tea emergency and there is nothing else on the shelf.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Yeah, I think Liptons is the Nescaf? blend 43 of the tea world - I'm pretty sure it's what is swept up off the floor at the end of the day....

Too true, but why are the sweepings in the USofA sooooo much worse than the sweepings in Oz or UK?

Even better, the International Rust (that is the correct spelling) Caterers' Blend. It was a "favourite" in the RAN.

So much for all their advertising hype..... their trained Baristas. As usual false advertising from Maccas. Any monkey can be trained to push a button on a machine, if you want generic stuff.

For a while per their advertising you could order from Mcafe through the drivethough....of course everyone did it and it slowed down the sales...ie how much money per hour they could ram through the drive through. Now you order McCafe in the drivethrough (Drivethru!!!) and its a super auto next to the coke machine that does the number. Aweful.

I have roasted my own coffee for many years and take care preparing it on commercial gear at home...i try and thermos as much as possible and on the road i prefer to go off the highway and seek out little good coffeeshops but when towing thats not always feasible...going north i like seeing Naked Coffee coming up!

    Cheers
