Beautifully restored Series One shorty drove past while I was working on my D2 in the driveway, (just off Victoria Rd, Drummoyne) looked and sounded great, lovely to see them on the road.

Spotted a White D2 V8 going through roundabout in front of us, going opposite direction to us, with what looked like a 1m or so long cargo platform extending behind the rear bumper, with a load of something on it ... ??? ... Gave chase, to finally discover it was a platform with a wheelchair packed on it. Obviously mounted to the hitch receiver, but talk about rear overhang

Yesterday spotted a white, roofrack equipped Defender or County, pulling up in Fitzroy St outside North Dubbo Primary School. Thinking back I suspect it may be one I know, but I did not see the driver as he was nose in angle parking. I had followed it several cars back for about two blocks.

It was the frequent spotting of a white Defender which finally motivated me to buy a Land Rover, something I always dreamed of doing. A year ago, I finally got to wave to it from mine. Sadly I haven't seen it since.
    Cheers, Billy.

See the regular few throughout Goulburn on the daily commute. Most wave enthusiastically even if we do see each other 4 times a day on the Main Street haha.
Although on a trip to Sydney I waved to many and got some seriously stunned looks from other deefer owners having no idea why I was waving I can assume

I think you've nailed it Larry, very likely it was, I'm pleased a Drummoyne resident would have such a nice example of an early model, I wonder why he's selling it?
