Hope I've narrowed down the search circle a little for you.

I keep all my old flat washers unless theyre rotten , but every time I go looking for one I can never find the right size.......
This is something that should definitely never happen. Just about has to be a maintenance or possibly a manufacturing. Note that the model helicopter was grounded in Norway within two hours of the crash, and later in the day in the UK.
It is most likely (my guess) a maintenance issue, could be something like the one i describe, or could be something about the manufacture, such as fatigue life being a lot less than designed. Or it could be that a counterfeit part was used. Apparently there are a lot of aviation parts floating round with forged documentation, many being time expired parts with new papers.
While most of these will end up in organisations with lax rule enforcement in countries where government supervision is a bit thin on the ground, I would be surprised if they did not end up in rare cases in well regulated organisations. And helicopters are the most vulnerable, mainly because they have critical load bearing bits that are moving and have relatively short fatigue lives.

needless to say i am well and truly over springs at the moment...
all i want is truck sitting at std heights...
seems it is too big an ask
fitted lra pinks to the front to replace the kings that were in there and which rode like crap
they seem fine or will be when i put an arb steel bar on.. a tad high with a tjm alloy bar..
but the rear has been an utter pain in the butt
lra recommend their white springs which are the equiv of std 110 front springs... i happen to have a set of then laying around from when i did the front springs on the 2 door 110 with 130 fronts...
now the thing sits at least 20-30mm low so i assume they are shagged or lra were out a little bit
seems i need to stump up for some new lra whites or white / green or a new set of 110 std fronts which are progressive, maybe ...
decisions decisions and another few hours swapping springs and air bags...
is fun fun fun...
