Not really constructive to the topic but I'm finding it interesting that the majority of the moral outrage is centred around sexist comments.

I've seen one van that said "It's better to be black than gay because you don't have to tell your parents".

Black people, the same sex attracted, is that beyond the radar of the white cisgender male's moral outrage? "Just having a laugh mate"

No but they are forcing vulgar and offensive garbage.
You know- kids look at cars and anything else on the road or street.
It isn't advertising, it isn't a logo, it's not funny even.
It is immaturity at its best sprouting diatribe "because we can"
As said before, there are plenty of vans with out the vulgarity.
Why do kids have to be exposed to this just by the fact there parents have the unfortunate timing to drive on any road?

Disrespect with a defense of free speech made by those with neither understanding or capability of respecting themselves or others.
The very concept of respect is lost on many.

Eevo. Some of the graphics in question depict sexual acts. If I was to show such images to my kids, I would be committing a criminal act. Why should Wicked and or their customers, be allowed to do it.
While you're at it could you also tell us if there is a line which, in your opinion, should not be crossed?
    Cheers, Billy.

i cant comment on the graphics as i dont recall seeing any inappropriate ones.
im not saying they are not out there.

im not sure if there is a line or if it can be defined.
as the old saying goes, sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never harm me.

they are just words. getting upset or outraged at them is pretty thin skinned imho.

    No way.
That rhyme is completely false and should be rejected. It represents wishful thinking rather than reality.

You can harm someone for life with words, you can cut a man down, you can warp peoples' development with words.

    Words matter.

The word "bomb" isn't illegal. Saying "bomb" isn't illegal. Joking or half seriously angry saying "Someone should blow [insert someone/something] up" a'la Kingswood Country isn't illegal either. Wouldn't offend pretty much anyone, incl. 5yo princesses.

Take all that to an airport, or actually on a commercial airline flight, and see how far you get.

Words do count, can hurt, can get you in a lot of trouble. Even words that are not illegal. Words that people are sensitive about how and when they are used. Goes a lot further than just the word "bomb" and airports.

Book a standard Jim Jeffries act for a childrens' hospital gig and see if you are less popular than a pork chop in a synagogue. Audiences and appropriateness regarding being "edgy". It matters.

Offend people's sensitivities in societal living (edgy with the wrong audience) - expect backlash. The lines are blurred at times - there are always avantgarde mail workers - pushing the antelope.

And the lines do move - 20yrs ago you could do a loud Ted Bullpit recitation in an airport lounge with no repercussions. Probably 20yrs ago Jim Jeffries wouldn't have survived with his shows.

Respecting current limits generally, and only pushing limits in suitable audience circles - these are social graces, maturity, much to be desired.
