    Maccas coffee price

I don't need any feedback on the actual coffee, I just find it odd that the price varies so much.
Most menu items have a set price but for some reason coffee price varies.
Just paid $4.05 in Kilsyth for a standard size but have paid up to $4.35

Single or double shot, caramel or another flavor, takeaway or crockery cup, direction of wind at the time, number of stirs, direction of stirs, staff member just had fight with mother etc. Many possible variables.

Buy a cold press and save yourself $3.80? for less time in the queue than at maccafe

Depends how much of a coffee aficionado you are I have used to the aeropress successfully and I am happy with it's performance.

Having said that I have recently moved to a small gas burner campfire one. It takes around 2 minutes to go from no coffee to all the coffee. The reason is that I don't like buying the filters for the aeropress. The campfire one has a aluminum filter which is washable. The downside is that it takes a while to cooldown for packing back into the car for the next stage of the trip. Other benefits include being able to have coffee any time.. having the bean/grind of your choice etc. However it is not cold press. There are other threads on the various espresso options.

One thing to note with the campfire one.. the tiny espresso cups that come with it are useless. We purchased some mugs from anaconda that fit under the spout and don't overflow or spill when you have hot fluid everywhere.

It's alright mate... I'll keep this on topic...

IIRC, I've paid up to 4.30 ish for medium size a long black.

Variable pricing is not new though, same thing happens at coles, woolies, and many other retailers.

I somehow knew it would end up as a 'coffee' debate.
I'm in industrial sales so it's convenient to use Maccas, there's one in every town/suburb, they have toilets and it's somewhere to get out of the rain......

Prices I listed were for a standard latte (no extras, no double shot etc), my point was why are most Maccas menu items fixed price except for coffee ?

Anyway, if you're in Bayswater and want a Maccas coffee drive down the road a couple of Kms to Kilsyth and save 30c

Sorry to highjack the thread... you can buy stainless steel filters for the AeroPress. The better ones are actually very good.
