You bet... you get a special PM to point out you have been naughty and how many points you scored and how long they will apply for.

You can also see your own ...current and historical in your public profile.

If you click on my forum name above and choose public profile - you will see a tab that is headed infractions.

You'll see that back in 2012 Ron pinged me for a swear filter dodge

It's all out in the open and intended to give everyone a chance... Just not too many chances

OK.. obviously I can see more as an admin.... but yes you have been a good boy.... if you hadn't you would see any listed under that tab.

You are told of your transgression. The first time, you are warned. No points. Don't do it again. After that, you do it again, you run the risk of getting points. Accrue enough points, you get a short holiday. The more points, the longer the holiday.
As some have discovered, for those with lots of points, you may get kicked off.
Permanently.
For those who have gained points, with good behavior over time, they gradually evaporate away.
Gav and Muppet on the grassy knoll is just a rumour spread to frighten the younger members to behave themselves.

Thanks Mick and Mark for the explanation. So.....without wanting to put too fine a point on it, Eevo's holiday wouldn't have come as a surprise to him, which is different to how I read LandAndy's post above.

Never having been on the receiving end, I was genuinely unaware of how it works. Must try harder.

And Mick....I know Muppet is a lousy shot, he'd have to be standing next to me to frighten me, never mind the grassy knoll.
