    Don't you just hate that!

I woke up a couple of hours ago, panic, have I slept in, am I late for work? Then I realised, I was in the truck, on the farm and not due to load for another hour.

My place used to start me at something like 5-7AM a few months ago.
Sometimes after work, I'd get home, crash on the couch, watch some boring TV which would send me off on a nanna nap.
One time, I knew I had a 7AM start the next day, I crashed for about an hour and woke up thinking it's the next morning at 6:45.
    Now I'm in a panick.
I'm about to be late, so stripped off, quick 30s shower, (same) clothes back on, in the car and on the freeway in half the time I usually get that all done.
I'm driving up the freeway and something wasn't right .. I was driving into the sun(ie. afternoon) instead of with my back to the sun(morning).
Took me about 3 mins on the freeway to finally glance at the clock on the car and see that the time was 18:45!
Felt like a complete doofus, so to celebrate I got some take-away for dinner on the way home .. as I was already up and about.

Or you wake up in the bunk and can't get out in a hurry until you remeber your sleeping the other way around due to the angle of the last parking spot available on the exit ramp of said parking bay.
    Cheers, Kyle

Many moons ago, I was carting logs with an old Oshkosh. Used to load in the afternoon out past Eidsvold, then drive most of the night to Bundaberg to the mill.
Batteries had been getting a bit sad one night, so I didn't want to shut down until I got home. The return springs on my eyes were playing up, so I stopped for 15 minutes over the wheel. Was that pooped when I pulled up that I left the headlights on, and just conked out.
Woke up with a start, looked up and saw a marker post 10 metres ahead! Swung the wheel towards the road, foot on the brake pedal, one hand on the trailer brake lever, heart hammering like a Bren gun - then realised I was parked!
That burst of adrenaline got me to Bundaberg quite well, thank you very much!

Or you see a mate snatching forty over the wheel, sneak up to him, bullbar to bullbar, then let loose with high beam and a big dose of trumpets.

It's called "getting old", Ian. Happens to me often.
