Mowing ours twice per week at the moment - takes 6 minutes a pop.

Thankfully I covered most of the backyard in garden beds years ago and out the front put Tuscan toppings down where the nature strip is and concrete over 70% of the front yard with a garden bed in the middle.

Garden beds get a spray of roundup twice a year and are left to what they do. Gardening takes away valuable time where important stuff can be done...

Might even rip up all the lawn next year and put down fake grass solving the issue once and for all...
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

    Are you a quitter HS?

Why not simply hand paint blades of grass of your choice, onto the concrete?

You could have Buffalo, Rye, Kikuya (sp) Clover or just plain Moss, etc or a mix of them all. Then what about a few Camelias or Rhoda- wottsits to set the concrete off?

No mowing required, just the odd broom put over it if & when.

    Job done!

Not in Brisbane we not , there is not much grass left mostly dirt . Had best raine since may yesterday only lasted 1/4 hr not even enough to fill an egg cup. Watering doesn't help either as the grass has died. They keep telling us we are going to get all this rain but all we get is thunder & 3 drops. It is so long since I mowed , cant remember how to start the mower.

Fake grass gets too hot we had pavers around our pool we pulled them up & layed fake grass but found by 9am you could not walk on it , ended up getting a shade sale so we could get into the pool, then because 1/4 of the pool was shaded we had to put solar heating on the garage roof to heat the pool. Grrrrrrrr.

Another so called storm last night , thunder but not a drop of rain. I would like to have the problem of having to mow twice a week , even once a fortnight would be good . Last time I mowed I cut the weeds & filled the catcher with dirt .

Got 2 hose lawns I need to mow, both growing flat out. No problems you might say and I do enjoy doing them BUT they are 3hrs and 280km apart.
    cheers

We seem to be getting sun then run on alternate days over the last week or so .... the grass and weeds have exploded down here in southern Victoria.

I cut my grass on the weekend. After nearly six tanks of fuel and roughly six hours of mowing, I have come to the conclusion that it may be time for a ride on mower.
