Pony tail and flanny is a great look. I'm heading that way once I retire.

Heading west on Warrigo hwy,in the wrecking yard on the right, before the new Esk exit/overpass,opposite the servos, there is a S111 lwb being wrecked.

    Hope that makes sense

i don't want to sound pedantic, but until I read this thread, it was always a "flanno" not a flanny. Funny how languages change in areas.

I can't point a finger at modern hair styles,I sported a nice 12inch (30cm)pony tail from under my M/cycle helmet, after they were made mandatory, didn't chop it off until the late 70's.

I only know it as a flannie here in WA. Pocket Rocket went to a bogan school in the 80's and it was always flannie.

I waved to a Freelander last week on Theodore Rd. Kurwongbah and I think the bloke was so surprised that it was only after he was past that I noticed, in my rear vision mirror, a fully extended, vigourous arm wave out the drivers window. Made my day
