If you look at it in terms of ability to adapt or modify environment, to do rational analysis etc then yes.

If you look at it in terms of harmony with environment then no....

Not sure about humans being rational. Seem more ideological to me.

I fear for our future when an attempt of those of a science, technology & engineering background to educate is dismissed as ideology by those who are moving us forward in this post-truth era.
