Question is who's going to pay for this, why shut the mine and not build a more modern, efficient coal fired generator using the coal there until renewables can really take up the slack?

Well, I for one am over it... So, we left Adelaide yesterday at 3am, popped over to South East Melbourne and purchased the Genset pictured, met up for lunch with Homestar on the way home, and were unloaded and in bed by half 10! Not a bad run me thinks. (What's the betting there'll be no power cuts for the next few years now!)

Was great to catch up mate - that's a cracking generator, you'll be right for anything now - AC, Spa, etc while everyone else swelters. :D

With a generator that big, I assume you are planning on recouping some of the cost by allowing several of your neighbours to plug in extension leads. :)
