It's so broken it's been ordered to restart tonight.
AEMO orders back-up power station to be turned on to boost capacity during Adelaide heatwave - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)
Just FYI BeeUtey.. it's called a Meme, it illustrates a point of view.
Considering One of my current contracts is a Brown Fields Lithium start up I'd suggest the extraction process is more disruptive than Coal Seam Gas, Mineral Sands (open tar) etc.
Add to this the iron, mineral sands, uranium, coal, oil, tungsten, magnesium, nickel, copper (and so on) that needs to be mined to produce the vehicles, batteries, factories etc. the whole thing is quite different to perception.
PPCCGT has 3 units.
1 160 gas
2 160 gas
3 165 steam
total 485
currently producing 325
unit number 2 is is still not running.
sigh.
SA is consuming 3014MW
SA is generating 2740MW
difference made up by the interstate link.
every generator in SA is running.
pray nothing breaks.
So 24 hrs ago it would have saved the state from load shedding. Whereas there looks to be a bit more wind power available tonight so it could be an act of stable door slamming by AEMO.
I thought it was called "alternative truth" these days. None the less, most consumer goodies require destructive mining processes, therefore it is a question of which transport /energy method has the least impact both locally and globally. Perpetuating daft memes rather than evidenced analysis is unhelpful, unless you're propping up the front bar. ;)Quote:
