Lucky thing the sun is out too, all those houses giving their excess power to the grid for a pittance. The bigger boys are getting in on the act, too.

How to use sunshine and salt water to grow tomatoes.

Sun's energy to be collected in Tailem Bend.

What some people are currently doing about sunshine collecting in the Riverland.

You want more panels eh? Damn eastern staters get first bite at sucking all the energy from the sun as it is before it eventually struggles to get over to the west. And stop taking all our GST as well.

Just about everything is east of us mate.

Yeah, I split mine that way too but we are 100% shade free except on the west panels in the winter months only from about 3:00pm. Blows like hell at night where we live, should get myself a windmill too.

Up until recently, no one gave a rats arse about cost/kw , until people started using it as an argument against renewables.

My post was really to simply illustrate that we are doing nothing new that our forefathers didn't do....ie not relying upon one source for our energy.

It worked perfectly then, it works better now.

Now, let's get on with it and stop blocking the road.
Actually a LOT of industries have given a Rats for a significant amount of time about SA power costs...

And when it shuts big industry down because power cost exceeds production benefits it costs business dearly...
