if these kind of observations are obvious to a pre-schooler....... why is it so difficult for you?

Because, unlike the pre schoolers on this forum, I've learnt a wee bit more.

Getting close to a personal attack there, please back it off a touch. This thread has run well so far, no need to change that. Putting a winky face after your post doesn't make it any less so.
If you need to contact me please email [email protected] - thanks - Gav.

SA power: Gas generators ordered on as South Australia's wind production peaked - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

    From the article:
Synchronous generation is typically provided by gas, coal and hydro power plants. None of the wind farms currently operating in South Australia provide synchronous characteristics.
I believe we were heading down that path back in post 105:

Correct, but not a big enough one for grid stability, nor spun via a controlled source

    ???

Gas prices have doubled due to massive exports therefore electricity prices are rising across Oz even in states with few renewables. Fossil fuel suppliers have the system by the nuts and are squeezing as hard as they can before they are forced out of contention by storage. This is fast buck behaviour.

Energy prices set to jump next month despite futures prices expected to fall again - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)
