I must've been in the wrong bank.

Yes, we also 3 children who were each very different and who each gave us some moments, but we hung in there and now they are great, with their own families, so we must have something right, I guess.
Mind you, that isn't always true. We also know good people whose kids have run wild.
We also know people who appear to just be hopeless parents, and there are certainly cases of parents who are abusive and delinquent themselves.
The one thing I do know is people vary greatly and it's important to take them as individuals and not make too many assumptions.

Exactly,we have two boys, they get more compliments from customers than i have ever had.

    Seems we did something right.

We tried our best, they are two years apart in age and completely different, you would wonder how they had the same parents at times.(No smart comments)

One has cost me a good few $$$ with solicitors, but has at last settled down.Got tangled up with the wrong girls was his main problem,we dragged him home for 12 months to sort him out,and it seemed to work.

The other is married with two young ones, and unfortunately has a life threatening disease.

But we get on with life the best we can.

Friends of ours have a daughter who is a medical practitioner, and twin sons that are both doing jail time for various offences. The children were often neglected and left on their own.Family life was not the best.

IMHO having a good stable relationship between the adults in the family is very important, provides a good start for the children, and leads to a good relationship with all.

Agree, particularly your last sentence. Kids often repeat what they learn at home.

Incidentally, here are the stats. refuting the idea that crime is increasing. Actually, most serious crime rates are falling or stable. So, maybe most parents are doing lots of good things.
