    Flags at half mast.

    Shouldn't the flags at Bathurst be at half mast???? Ford closes its plants tomorrow.
    Came home and watched practice 3 for lunch today.Gees the place is looking green.
    Is see the apprentice smashed the Volvo again!!!! Atleast its will be ready tomorrow and the kid is ok.

    Unlike you Andy I've never been a Holden or Ford guy,,
    After Nissan left I just sorta watched the race

    until about two minutes after reading your post I saw on this mornings (live) practise the works Nissan go by---

    I was heavily involved in V8 Supercars years ago.

    Hardly a Ford / Holden thing as they barely resemble the vehicles they claim to be derived from.

    As for local manufacturing - we reap what we sow, companies kept building cars people didn't want, people kept buying import road cars, quality was below par of imports in similar price brackets and features that should have been standard were options.

    The writings been on the wall for at least 20 years....

    I just hope those impacted can find a new career and that impacts to them are minimal.
