Have arrived back home with the Defender 120.
Interesting drive back home. The gearbox was noisy in 1,2,3 OK in 4th.
Brakes where horrible. I changed the wheel cylinders with the rubber kits but they still leaked on the rear. In Brisbane managed to buy new wheel cylinders from British Off Road. That helped a great deal but the master cylinder needs to be done. Occasionally the brakes needed to be pumped to get them working properly.
Hole in the muffler so the drive was noisy.
And did I mention the rain/storms.
It was an adventure and strange as it might sound, I enjoyed the drive down.
No rust that I can find in chassis. small amount rust in passenger foot well.
Passengers door frame is rusted out and will need a new door.
I have taken photo of truck and will post later.
Now the fun starts with stripping the body, rust repairs and repainting.
I think I have the fever...Land Rover fever...
