Agree with the previous post. If you're not experienced, get some training and experience.
As for the vehicle, what are you planning to do with it?
For example, I see no need to lift our Defender for our needs, which are about touring.
If you look at my signature you'll see what has been added to mine. It already had a bar and snorkel.
First things I added were Mulgo extended seat rails (I'm tall), door openers, rear stay and rear wheel carrier (to get the spare off the rear door).
Soon to add roof rack with solar and half cargo barrier.
Then will come some APT protection underneath, new shocks and tyres.
If you're towing you obviously need a towbar.
Dual battery setup is important.
Ignore the good old boys seeking bragging rights for who has the biggest tyres.
Don't rush - enjoy.
