Like I said in the other thread in CA, these "people" need to be made VERY afraid to reoffend, and currently as in the past, they are not. Rehabilitation doesn't work on most. They already know it's easier to just take what they want from someone else than to work hard for it.

And, until the laws change, or the Judiciary changes its attitude, & IMHO, "Gets Real", that will continue, and actually, again IMHO of course, get worse.

Wrong, Wrong Wrong.So you want to bring back the lash? That worked. Let's go back to Port Arthur times, and send them insane.Get these kids out of their environment, early. Give them a stable situation, with discipline , that does not include bashing 10 year olds. If their home situation can't give them stability, take them where they can get it. Definitely not the SE Qld experience.

What i was talking about was the on going vandalism and deliberate destruction that happens all day,by the residents.

Similar roof incidents,like the one last week, have happened numerous times previously over the last few years,and have not been in the media.In fact there was a similar incident about 6 weeks ago,but it only involved one resident on a different roof,in the same centre.

As I said before,there is NO discipline at all in the youth centers here.

IMHO,that is a large part of the problem.

Never said anything about bashing 10 yr olds. I happen to like Tombie's suggestion.
