Why aren't citizens marching in the streets? Don't people care?

'How many more of our precious children need to die?'
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

The Vic Government has one more Budget to go before it faces the Electorate in 315 days, so I'll bet there will be many promises made.
..............and how many retire/resign over that period?

Well Bob, I don't really understand how the law works.....if that is how, then we may as well not have it. all the authorities know who was involved but aren't doing anything because a formal complaint was not made? Was a crime committed?

Terrible. I really feel for her. I bet the police were really frustrated she wouldn't make a complaint. Without a complaint from a victim there was no case to put before a court.

It continues,..looks like it's getting worse,.....not the we didn't know that,.....so much for Police & Premier statements a few days ago that there were no gang issues in Victoria.
Buy the Herald Sun today,...it's actually a bit frightening.

yeah but Pickles you know thats propaganda from the government.

They don't want to named as sympathisers to a scare campaign so they take the non compus approach.

I know and you know that they know more than they are prepared to reveal , and with an upcoming election the more bulldust that can be swept under the carpet the less they will have to disclose while proseltising.

    Agree.
In the paper today, a few quotes & comments,....from a "youth" inmate to a warder, "You're wasting your time, you can't do anything to me". Another comment to the effect that if an inmate wants to join a prison "gang", the admission "condition" is that that person has to assault a warder.
"Softly Softly" most definitely ain't working in Vic.

Ute hoon driver who killed council worker in Northbridge jailed for more than five years - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

    Get the ruling:
Justice Stephen Hall said the 21-year-old, who was originally from the Kimberley region, had experienced a difficult childhood with alcoholic parents and an abusive father.

Yet Evans had worked hard at school, gained a scholarship for the prestigious Christ Church Grammar School and finished a boilermaker's apprenticeship six months early.

He had strong references from supporters.

But Justice Hall said 48-year-old Mr Cullen had "lost his life when he was simply doing his job".
