Exactly and when one ideology clashes with another we see exactly what is going on now and in previous history.

It's also human nature to "dislike" the system - whichever system that may be...

We see it on small scale - Phone Manufacturer choice
And large scale - USA political system

We're a stupid bunch of creatures!!

I guess others are a case of maybe not being there,, out working perhaps, and of course, not everyone has a will strong enough to cope with strong willed kids.

Can you tell me how they are dealing with it in the USA please Kerry?
    Agree.
Some Melbourne members may remember when, it was either 4 or 5 "juveniles", that were killed in a single car accident when a car, travelling at a ridiculous speed left the road at South Morang killing them instantly. The driver was over .05, & disqualified, with priors etc.
Anyway, a week or so later, this "feral" gets on TV, who is the father of one of those killed, and says, on tv, "Ah well, ya can't blame him (the driver),.. that's just what they do"???......So yeah, with that sort of attitude, what hope do some children have?

Well for instance in Florida (where I grew up) if a minor commits a violent crime they are usually tried in court as adults. Certain misdemeanors the parents will cop the fines, etc. There are some cases of parents actually doing jail time for offences like truancy and the like.

That tragic incident made national news.
In many cases it's attitudes like that, that causes kids to turn feral. Most kids aren't born bad, their environment forms their behaviour and attitudes. Drugs are a major cause of kids' issues, as either, or a spectator or participant.
I'm not blaming all parents, some have done sterling work, but other influences have taken precedence. I feel for these parents, who are in the minority.
Like the saying goes, you need a license to have a dog, but not for kids.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

    Yes, it was definitely "Tragic".
Did you see the "feral" father on TV a week or so after,.... dressed in a dirty singlet, peaked cap on sideways, needed a shave,...a really good role model!

Re original title of this thread,...BY ME......it stands,.....more than ever.
On the news tonight,...crime up TWENTY THREE PERCENT in the last 12 months.
But still the do-gooder judiciary let repeat offenders, on bail, still offending,..they let ém OUT, again & again..to repeat offend again,....which they do.
Weak as water is our judiciary,,....and of course there are the do-gooders who say, we must do more to understand, to "talk" to these criminals.
I say we need to get TOUGH,..ya do the crime, ya do the time".
Ain't got no time at all for the bleeding hearts,...if ANYONE does the wrong thing,...they need to be PUNISHED, not excused.
So now, I'm quite happy to be HAMMERED by the usual suspects. IMHO, this ain't political, it ain't C.A.,....it's real stuff, which will eventually affect all of us.

You can thank all the 'bleeding hearts'..."we can rehabilitate"...."we have rights"....people for the way society is spiralling.
