Good luck changing anything. I saw a Front page story about a Nurse who was run over and killed by an unlicensed repeat offender driving an unregistered vehicle. We bought that paper on the day Lucy was borne: 03/05/09.

I still think that these thugs should be made to be more affaid of the cops. Just like in America. Too many times I've seen these punks disrespect, spit on, even bash the police here. I'd thike to see them try it on an American cop. These cops have their hands tied in how they initially deal with these criminals .

Instead of just typing out a response to the sentence issued by the courts , perhaps go back to school and get the qualifications required so that you can impose the sentence that is appropriate.

And another on TV last night,..this thug, already been up on multiple charges, on bail, caught on CCTV belting some poor innocent person,..went to court,..released on bail.

Saw something on tv the other night too: People (in Vic?) taking up arms in response to the crime situation. It was laughable really - as it featured idiots, one with a hunting bow, says he treats his arrow tips so even nicks or fleshwounds will kill or maim. Another, more a danger to himself, showing off his (lack of) skill with fighting sticks etc. Talking **** about seriously wounding or killing intruders. Saying they are willing to go to gaol for injuries or deaths caused - to make a point.

Geez.

Can't kill or maim 'em, harvest organs, or process them into Soylent Green. Shouldn't have to bark for the dogs we pay so much for already (judiciary). Not sure that dumping rubbish at the front door to Parliament house effective.

So what (really) are the options available to drive change? Passionate advocates get way less important issues a lot of air time.
