Still going on, 53 y.o. woman badly injured in home invasion.
Woman with history, on ice etc etc etc, kills a man in car accident, gets jail, but likely to be out in 2 yrs. Family of deceased not happy,....I wonder why,.....TWO YEARS?!!!

I imagine her defence lawyer is proud of that, I dont know how these buggers can sleep at night because it doesnt look like justice has been served here.
The best place for this stupid sheila is in jail anyway maybe she could dry out a bit and i imagine that the family of the deceased is digusted with this weak effort.

What we need is a full on real war on drugs. Most of the crime in this country comes from drugs. No one knows how to handle it. I was talking to the son of a mate, yesterday. There is a new estate, near the Kippering train station. Centrelink have moved a lot of their long term customers in to housing there. A 14 year old girl died from an overdose, and was dumped in a dumpster there. Another youth died in his car, from drugs, and was in it dead for a couple of weeks. A current affair is doing a story on this place, and the residents were told to not talk to them. Even if the stories are exaggerated, there would be a sliver of truth in them And then there is this....

there is no money for the govt to make on drugs without making it legal.

I see in the media today, Melbourne now has Muslim populated suburbs which are recommended as no go zones to "Aussies"?!!.....can you believe it,.....in Melbourne!!
Saw a program on TV last night about Dubbo,...same thing, places unwise to go, and MANY years ago when we went to Alice Springs, on the way up on the Ghan, a long time business owner gave us a few warnings.
What are we coming to?

I used to live in Noble Park about 5 years ago. Glad i left there!!
I remember when Dandenong Station become a no go zone. Sudanese were standing over people robbing them in broad daylight.
Cops seemed overwhelmed or unwilling to do anything, not sure which.

Yeah i grew up in dandy and went to school in noble park many many years ago. Was always a pretty tough place to live in dandenong. The Sudanese have definitely made parts of Dandenong a no go zone. And parts of Noble park as well. But once you give the "war torn country" story, your out on bail to do it all again.

Bob, public housing is nothing to do with Centrelink. This is a state matter. Used to be called Queensland Housing Commission. The problem is that a high percentage of public housing tenants are also Centrelink clients, sole parents, disability pensioners, unemployed. Centrelink pay financial support to those eligible but do not provide housing or even intercede with the state housing authority on behalf of mutual clients. Different sides of the street. For decades now state housing have no longer been building estates or suburbs which practice had created ghettos. Policy nowadays is to scatter public housing throughout the suburbs.
