Because when the guy I was working with yesterday wants to tune his 540ci 10.7:1 big block with motec, he is likely going to want to spend a bit more time than an hour or two and I'm guessing the value he has in his 10 year to build rod, means he will likely show some care.....why does everything need to come to paranoia and ass covering? Common sense and my discretion will sort who is who, it's not a drive in car wash and I'm not lining up ecotec Commodores :D

I'm sorry if you didn't like my replies to your question. But that is what happens on forums when someone asks a question, people tend to give their opinions. Anyway good luck with it.

People seem to get the picture that a dyno for rent means I'll have every young spaz turning up, churning out numbers, then unleashing newly found horsepower in open wheel differential fashion, after falling of the dyno killing a few kids on the way

If I do not feel someone is capable to operate the dyno, they won't be operating it, but to be honest, after I spend the first hour strapping the vehicle and inducting the user, running their vehicle with them, the risks are very much mitigated

Just to follow from your edit, I'm well aware of forum operations, think I been trolling this one since about 2005!

So back to how much?:)

Not a problem my friend, I just thought I would share with you my thoughts and experiences given, at a guess, I'm the only person so far who has responded who actually owns a Dyno.

Anyway you have now explained what your really looking at doing which is offering a service to teach people how to use a Dyno and then try and tune their cars. Sounds good, good luck with it.

I was (working) at a custom car/ hotrod show last w/e and there were hundreds of vehicles there and they all dyno tune.

I think there is a really good opportunity here and if the standards are held the clientele will increase as word gets out.

That's it, plenty of guys out there smart enough to do there own, I'll have an idle dyno a fair bit of the time, so it may aswell work for its lodgings:D

Means guys can spend a few hours, optimise their tuning, without having to pay for a tuner, who may not even know as much as them about tuning their vehicle.

The software is very intuitive and easy to use on the new units, in reality in 15 mins someone with Windows skills and technical comprehension will be a dyno operator:D

If rovercare is just trying to get a bit of return on investment than pricing would need to be around that

I just searched...i paid $220 for the first time than I'm sure $150 at a different place.......from memory I pulled the prop shaft each time
