I have done a tyre delimitation case involving old tyres. Got the leading tyre deflation specialist engineer involved. Age is most definitely a consideration. Cheers
The exceptional bargain price that was offered to me is a 23% discount on the initial price.
So basically a four year old Pirelli Scorpion ATR has the same price as a new Falken FK/AT.
What do you think? are they still a catch or should I search for an alternative?
If you like that brand of tyre (as I do) go for it. Good for gravel, sand etc, but not the best mud tyre. Even if they only last you say 4 years before wearing out, you have lost nothing. Mind you, did we ever talk about a spare?
My only minor bitch is that they hold stones in the tread, and in my case seem to be a magnet for picking up tek screws.
