    BIG STORM COMING !!!!

    <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>Bureau of Meteorology
    Queensland Regional Office

The Standard Emergency Warning Signal should NOT be used with this message.

    TOP PRIORITY FOR IMMEDIATE BROADCAST

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING - SOUTHEAST QUEENSLAND
for LARGE HAILSTONES, DAMAGING WIND, VERY HEAVY RAINFALL and FLASH FLOODING
For people in parts of the
    Southeast Coast Forecast District.

Issued at 5:56 PM Thursday, 8 December 2005.

At 5:50 PM , Bureau of Meteorology weather radar detected severe thunderstorms near Brisbane CBD, Ipswich, Coolangatta, Beenleigh, Logan City and Esk. These thunderstorms are moving towards the northeast. Severe thunderstorms are forecast to affect Cleveland, Strathpine and Redcliffe by 6:20 PM and Caboolture, northern Bribie Island and Cape Moreton by 6:50 PM .

Large hailstones, damaging winds, very heavy rainfall and flash flooding are possible.

A more general severe thunderstorm warning is also current for the Southeast Coast and parts of the Darling Downs & Granite Belt Forecast Districts.

At 5:45pm, Archerfield aerodrome reported 86 km/h wind gusts.
Bundamba reported 47mm of rain within 1 hour.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
    * Move your car under cover or away from trees.
    * Secure loose outdoor items.
    * Avoid driving, walking or riding through flood waters.
    * Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
    * Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
    * Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
    * For emergency assistance contact the SES in your local government area, listed in the White Pages under either State Emergency Service or your local council.

The next warning is due to be issued by 7:00 PM.[/b][/quote]

Starting to get really windy here now. Apparently highest winds in 100 years or something like with roofs off houses etc in Beaudesert ?!

I'm gonna unplug me 'puter now.
