Basically the system works in a way that when you come up behind another vehicle, at present, another semi, also equipped with PLATOONING technology, the rear vehicle can wirelessly link up to the foreword facing camera in the lead vehicle and the rear vehicle can then see the road ahead as well.
We had a primitive form of this years ago. It was called the CB radio.
