Ihave been on 2 ****** a day now for about 20 years, I am a type 2 that didn't listen when younger. Your life will be better with the *****. Just listen to you team of professionals. By the way I inject into the thigh, each thigh has about the same surface area as the gut and you have 2 thighs, when I started my gut was getting sore spots. Never had a problem in the thigh

I have been injecting insulin for years (by choice....rather than hammering myself with heaps of tablets).

I am currently injecting 36 iu once per day. How big are your injections ?

We have a type 2 diabetic at work.
Recently had half a big toe cut off due to infection.They want to cut the rest off as the infection is still active,he refused.He is on a 6 week course of IV anti-biotics.If it fails its cut some more off,and it sounds like some of the foot too.
Years ago he lived next door,the party animal from hell.He passed out next to a bonfire,his mates partied on then went home thinking he was asleep.He was in a diabetic coma.

My youngest daughter is type 1. She uses an insulin pump. This puts in very small amounts many times a day.

Haven't got the dosage yet going early next week to the educator to have her show me how to do it and will get the doseage started and adjusted as recommended by my endo.
I have been rather unwell for most of this year with abdominal pains, have all sorts of scans and tests, gastroscopy and colonoscopy, no clue to whats causing it, at least no sinister cancers discovered, so a mystery, but endo thinks it might be my 10 year course of diabetic tablets of varying kinds might have cause this problem. He seems to think the insulin will give me some energy back as I have been very flat this year, taking lots of nanna naps due to fatigue.

Andy, my endo assured me it is no fault of my own, I have a family history of diabetis on mums side , so I am one of the unlucky ones.

I have family history on my fathers side,so far so good.Have been told by my doc to pull my head in as I'm a prime candidate.I drink lots less since,probably need to back off some more.Problem is booze works best as a pain killer for my back.
