Naturally, none have been on or toooo close to the sidewall .
Only last year i was on a very rocky track climbing a hill when i had a rock puncture a sidewall .
The tyre was near new but as i was on a steep track with no where or any chance to change it i used plugs ::
Worked a treat and kept me going for a couple of weeks till i got a new tyre .
Moral of the story you can use them on a sidewall to get out of a jam
