Have you got a name of the RACV representative or a point of contact in case we are told otherwise?
Seems Wardy called the new kid in the call centre. I think further training would be appropriate.

Hi,
as my 2013 130 CC is out of warranty this week I confirmed with my LR Dealer (who has been great in my case) that as long as I still get my services done with a LR Dealer that I am still able to have LR Assist for that 12 months period, and that I can do this for a total of three more years ie my total LR Assist on my Defender will actually run for six years as long as I still use them for service. You do not have to do anything about it as it is recorded with LR so LR Assist will still cover you. This is really an unbeatable deal i feel as then none of these grey areas re roadside help arise.
I can also still have any major item covered under warranty on a sliding scale up to one claim per year--very happy with LR re this!!!!
The RACV person from Member Relations who responded to my inquiry has declined to have her name and telephone contact number placed on the forum.
Rather she has requested that any inquiries be directed in the same manner as I did aka via an email.
This link below is what I used,

Re my earlier Point 3. "Total Care has not changed its terms and conditions in the past 15 years or so".
TC has requested that I amend this to read:
3- Total Care has not changed its areas of recovery terms in the past 15 years.
Sorry Mick.....that's the best I can do.
RACV will, but it is an extra package to be bought.

Off road on road, what do you class this? a lake shore Not a made road but a lake bed which varies depending on water level. Is it a gazetted road? If the vehicle was a few meters further behind on the softer dirt would they come to the rescue?

as an ex tow truck driver (racv agent ) I can only say that most people are unaware of the services that are available as a member or that when needed the lengths that racv will go to to assist you I for one would not be without total care as the majority of our vehicles use is on road and it gives me the piece of mind that even if kerri has an issue while I am away it won't be an issue & no matter whose vehicle I am driving I am covered.
having been towed home recently after a coolant hose failure the service was excellent they sent 2 vehicles out , one to recover the d2 and one to tow the float no problems and I reckon that one tow more than covered our membership  to racv & total care
Is there an age limit on vehicles covered by this total car. Wondering if you have an un reliable dunga of a vehicle, you would be using that service a lot of times.
Yes Mario, they do cover L322's :)
Deano :)
My Insurance covers recovery from any road or track that is contained in the latest HEMA mapping systems. Sadly it's for accident (including single vehicle) but not breakdown.
When fuel pressure regulator went earlier in the year had a random tow me 80m so off sort of NP and onto bitumen, saved me $500 in excess fees. 1m is same as 10km of dirt under RACWA rules
