In essence my conversation with TC can be summarised thus:

1- Any bitumen road anywhere which is trafficable by 2WD vehicle will be covered by TC.
The allegation that TC will not attend if that bitumen road passes through a National Park or similar is incorrect.

2 - Any unmade/dirt road anywhere which is trafficable by 2WD vehicle will be covered by TC.
The allegation that TC will not attend if that unmade/dirt road passes through a National Park or similar is incorrect.

3- Total Care has not changed its terrns and conditions in the past 15 years or so.

I hope this helps to settle any confusions.
Unfortunately for me, this has just confused me more. I was originally told the same as you have been. Then the woman at the Fountain Gate RACV rang Total Care in front of me and I have already quoted what we were told. She assured me that she was speaking to the experts on Total Care and I quoted back to her what she had said to me, so I was sure that I hadn't got it wrong. I did ask for it in writing as well and was told to just refer people to ring up the Total Care number and they would be told the same thing that I was. I truly hope that what you have been told is right, as it makes more sense to me than what I was told. I have been a member of RACV for over 30 years, and also have all my insurances with them. I had wanted to upgrade to Total Care, but to tell you the truth, I just don't know what to do now. Maybe I will contact them again.

As I read the T&C's, Land Rover Assist specifically excludes any trailer or caravan towed by your vehicle.

Perhaps they may help you out, but you might pay for the privilege?

A lot of bridges get built and then fall down, this has happened all over the world , bridges built be shonky operators, make sure your bridge builder is accredited and has the relevant licences

I got over the bridge 10 years ago with the insulin injections, 3 years ago with cancer & 4 months ago with the amputation, as has beensaid previously on this thread , we only have "ONE LIFE. LIVE IT"as best we can no matter what life throws at us. Until people have been in the situation they should keep their commentss to what you know, LIFE GOES ON & the brige must be a good one as it hasn't collapsed yet.

It's good to hear you built your bridge without the help of any body else. Well done, you should be commended
