    Best method for removing stickers

    Hi All,

At work we have about 15 portable steel benches - they are similar to an upright steel portable tool box (painted).

Anyway - I've been asked what's the best method for removing various stickers from these things..

What have other people done to remove stickers from painted metal?

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

    Cheers,

    Hi,
Hot air gun will soften a lot of adhesives.

    Cheers

A caramel wheel will remove stubborn stickers. They use is in the panel beating trade to remove pin striping etc.

X2 This has worked fine for ever and if you dont have a hot air gun someones hair dryer works a treat
Once the stickers are removed then use eucalyptus oil to clean up the sticky residue crap

For rego stickers on windscreens just wet some cling wrap & spread it over the sticker nice & flat. Wait half an hour then the sticker just peels off leaving no residue, also works for parks & wildlife stickers, so might work on metal as well!

Hasn't worked on rego stickers for 25 years!

A blade under the edge and peel off has been the go since back then...
