    The Castle lost it vibe

Well it look like the house will be torn down. Unless some with money is welcome to come and take it way. The lady that owns it has about 4 acres and was going to develop the land. They tried to Heritage list last night but the votes did not go the way they wanted. Sorry but they lost the vibe. Heather

Hardly worth a serious heritage listing.

It is well worth a heritage listing. Especially if you are of the Looney Left / Green dominated inner Melbourne councils. I heard the silly bitch on the radio yesterday talking up the houses social and cultural value. She actually sounded like she believed what she was saying!!
The house is a small weather board. If you really value it, buy it and relocate it.
    With your own money.

Imagine if every film set in Australia was Heritage listed. There'd be a raft of dilapidated dwellings that nobody wanted to own or pay the upkeep for.
    Cheers, Billy.

    Honestly who cares??
Was a bad movie and an even worse house, not even remotely worthy of heritage listing.

    Can't divide on that soil!

Oh Na nothing serious.... what do you know about lead??

Heritage listing is a bit rich but would be great to see the thing relocated to bonnie doon as a bar/cafe or Australiana museum. I understand it is a ****ty weatherboard but it does hold some sentimental value for some people. I agree that it would be very unfair to pass the bourdon on to the current owner and hope there is time enough for someone to relocate it.
