    A perfect Spare

I have a perfect 265/75r16 Mickey Thompson tyre hanging off the back of my disco.

Never got round to rotating them.

They other 4 have over 50k on them.

In the future I'm going BFG.

    Do I
    A use it
B not use it and try to sell it

It still has the little pimples on it.

    Mid 2013.

Silly really, but haven't been that focussed on the Disco. It's just been rolling along doing its' job without issue or complaint.

Don't think the tyre shops would touch it and hate seeing mismatched spares on 4WDs. Maybe I'll get another rim and have it as an EXTRA.

    A perfect Spare

I have the Dick Cepek spare from the D2...
It's 14 years old and never seen the road.
    I'm throwing it out obviously!

Read the 4 digit date code in a little cartouche near one bead. They represent the week and year of manufacture. Anything under 5 years is fine, over 7-8 years is straight into the bin. I've seen an elderly tyre on a parked RRC delaminate and turn into a bunch of saw blades.

Brisbane but it's not for sale just yet.

The MTZ are great but I'm going to have to man up and admit I just don't need Tyres that aggressive any more.

BFG all terrains are pretty awesome so no crying myself to sleep.

I have a 33x12.5x15 BFG all terrain that is 17 years old, spent it's life on the back of the troopy. The sticker fell off 2 years ago.
I use it on the cars in storage.

2013 is still good, sell it while you can and wear the others out.
