Which school was it outside? I just ask, as all of the 40km/h zones no doubt are still being monitored, though my school broke up for Xmas almost a week ago. If the kids aren't there there isnt, then for that school it isn't a "school day".

its not the money really, its the points on my licence as I have never had any points in 15 years of driving!!! AND used to travel much quicker than I do now!!!
with the points effect my car insurance?
LRH
just a query on the same topic for Queenslanders, how much over the limit do we have to be in this state for instant loss of licence, and has anyone a breakdown of the fine system, like how much for each section over the limit.
It shouldnt affect your insurance. My speeding fines didnt, and i had two, one was reduced to a caution.Quote:

From a can they book me at that time point of view you dont have a leg to stand on, the zones are in force until 9:30, and 4:00 in the arvo. As you said a total load of crap most schools, especially highschools are in by 9 at the latest.
What i would do- given your history LRH write a letter asking for leniency based on your previous driving record. If you havent had any other infringements in 15 years you should get away with it. I got done for 80 in a 60 at uni and wrote a letter, they reduced it to a caution after taking my previous record into consideration, that was my first fine. Write a nice letter saying that it was an unfortunate mistake, and that speeding is something you do not approved, which is evident by your record and ask that you be granted leniency. It works, trust me, but only on your first fine in a long time, 15 years orta do it. Matt
